Dr. Virginia Broudy is an exemplary leader who was honored with the Thorud Leadership Award, the highest leadership honor at the UW. She also was awarded the Beeson and Turck Awards for excellence in clinical care and teaching. She served as Vice Chair and Harborview Chief of Medicine, Acting Hematology Division Chair, and Interim Chair of the Department of Medicine, all at the UW. Her research focused on quality improvement and care of complex and vulnerable patient populations.
