RESEARCH AND/OR CLINICAL INTERESTS

Dr. Eshana Shah studies the impact of health disparities — from the individual level to the community level — on health outcomes for patients with blood cancers. In addition to analyzing outcomes like survival and complications, Dr. Shah interviews patients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their experience and the difficulties they face during and after treatment. This helps shed light on the challenges that blood cancer patients face and how these impact care delivery and treatment results. Her goal is to identify areas of intervention and design programs to mitigate barriers to equitable treatment for blood cancers.
