Research and/or clinical interests

Dr. Gentry King’s clinical expertise is in the medical treatment of gastrointestinal cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, biliary tract cancers, pancreas cancer, gastroeophageal cancer, neuroendocrine tumors and colorectal cancer. His research focuses specifically on studies in hepatobiliary cancers that explore the novel strategies to develop biomarkers that can predict benefit to subsequent therapies. In particular, he is exploring the role of circulating tumor DNA to predict recurrence after curative resection of hepatobiliary cancers and its relationship to tumor biology including genomics and the immune microenvironment.
