Dr. Marc Stewart's expertise is in hematology oncology. His research interests focus on stem cell biology, transplant engraftment, cellular immunotherapy, and health care delivery. Dr. Stewart was the first Medical Director of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (now Fred Hutch), serving from 2001-2021.

Dr. Stewart is on the national board of directors for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN). Through his work on NCCN’s Best Practices Committee, Dr. Stewart helped champion a national patient safety campaign around the correct use and administration of the immunotherapy drug, vincristine.
