Research and/or clinical interests

Dr. Nick Burwick has an academic interest in medical education and community outreach. He serves as medical director for VA Hematology ECHO (extension for community health care outcomes) and as hematology block director for the University of Washington School of Medicine.  He delivers hematology care for underserved communities as a physician for the VA National Tele-Oncology program, and serves on national committees for the American Society of Hematology and the Association of VA Hematology/Oncology.  In the research domain, he has an interest in plasma cell disorders, and in expanding access to clinical trials for veterans within the VA Northwest network.
