Research and/or clinical interests

Dr. Stacey Cohen is a medical oncologist specializing in GI cancers, especially colon, rectal, early-onset, and hereditary cancers. Her research focuses on how genetics influence our treatment options and decisions. This includes hereditary gene changes, genetic changes in tumors, and novel markers of disease. Dr. Cohen hopes that her research helps individualize treatment decisions for her patients and for cancer patients in general, to maximize the benefit and limit side effects. She appreciates being able to establish deep and long-term relationships with her patients and to share in decision-making.
